What is a Hiab?

  • The term ‘Hiab’ is sometimes used in the lorry loader industry in lieu of other, more technically correct terms, such as ‘lorry mounted crane’ or ‘lorry loader’. ‘Hiab’ is actually the name of a loader crane manufacturer. There are numerous manufacturers / importers that supply loader cranes to the UK and are members of ALLMI, including:
