ALLMI Elections

Alastair Evans’ appointment as Chairman was part of a wider election process for positions on both the ALLMI Board and Operators’ Forum Executive Committee.  

For the Board, the election saw the majority of incumbent Directors retaining their positions, with the only new addition being Andy Woodward, Aftersales Director of Palfinger UK.   He comments “Over the last 21 years I have carried out a range of industry roles, primarily in relation to aftersales, but exposing me to the many operational facets of the lorry loader business.  Coupled with the commercial and strategic experience I have gained during that time, I feel I am well equipped to serve on the ALLMI Board and I look forward to contributing to the important part it plays in raising standards.”

On the operator side, results include Steve Frazer-Brown of David Watson Transport being re-appointed as Forum Chairman, thereby securing his place as the fleet owner representative on the ALLMI Board; and the remainder of the Executive Committee all retaining their places, but with an addition in the form of Mark Keily, Health, Safety and Sustainability Director for Sunbelt Rentals.  He comments “I believe passionately in continual improvement, the advancement of standards and in keeping people safe; and during my dealings with ALLMI I have been impressed with the professionalism and desire shown across the Association to do the same.

I hope that my extensive construction and equipment rental experience will add to the Committee’s skillset, and I look forward to representing the interests of members and supporting the lorry loader industry to the best of my abilities.”
