Increased Demand for Crane Supervisor Training
Remarkably, given the events of 2020, demand for ALLMI’s Crane Supervisor training increased by 15% last year.
ALLMI Training & Project Officer, Jon Kenyon, comments “The Crane Supervisor controls the lifting operation and is responsible for ensuring that it is carried out in accordance with the Appointed Person’s safe system of work. The ALLMI course equips those looking to fulfil this role with the required technical and legislative knowledge, as well as a high level of practical skills, and it therefore also assists employers in meeting their obligations under BS7121 Part 4.”
ALLMI CEO, Tom Wakefield, comments “These figures underline the importance and credibility of our Crane Supervisor course and reinforce its position as the industry’s leading training programme for those carrying out this role within a lorry loader lifting team. It also reflects the recent performance of the wider ALLMI training scheme, with uptake for all courses being strong in the second half of 2020 and the early part of this year.”
