Market Stats - Remote Demand

ALLMI has released its loader crane industry sales figures for the second half of 2024, completing market statistics for the full year.

Whilst showing a robust performance across a number of sectors, one of the most noticeable markers was the demand for remotes, with over 70% of invoiced sales relating to lorry loaders with control units of this type, and the figure rising to 100% for cranes above 16tm.

Although remote controls bring many benefits to lorry loader operation, it is important to remember that potential hazards can be created if they are used incorrectly. For this reason, ALLMI publishes a range of freely available guidance material covering the ‘Safe Use of Remote Controls’, which includes a web-based video, a toolbox talk, and an information leaflet aimed at operators and their immediate supervisors.
